Academic DegreeFaculty appointed to the associate of science in nursing program must have a minimum of a master's degree in nursing or a related field. Experientially qualified faculty may hold a bachelor's degree in nursing or bachelor's degree with a concentration in nursing through a degree waiver approved by the program administrator.Faculty appointed to baccalaureate or graduate level nursing programs must hold a minimum of a doctorate degree in nursing or a related field. Experientially qualified faculty may hold a master's degree in nursing or master's degree with a concentration in nursing through a degree waiver approved by the program administrator.ExperienceFaculty teaching nursing related courses must have a minimum of four years of related practical work experience in the subject area(s) taught.LicensureHolds an unencumbered Registered Nurse or Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner license issued by the Florida Department of Health, a compact state, or other approved state by the CollegeFor faculty teaching a clinical course in the nurse practitioner program, the faculty must hold an unencumbered license or other authorization to practice as a nurse practitioner as required by the state or territory.
