Location: New York, NY HQ USA Job Overview: The IRC’s Resettlement Team will support the US Government to expand USRAP by launching a labor-based complementary pathway to the US. New complementary pathways such as labor mobility provide durable solutions for refugees while simultaneously responding to workforce needs in the U.S. by removing barriers that hinder refugee self-determination in accessing durable solutions. The pilot program aligns with UNHCR’s 2030 Roadmap to increase third country solutions for refugees through the additionality of complementary pathways and will operate in close coordination with the newly launched Welcome Corps. The Senior Program Officer (SPO), U.S. Labor Mobility, will support a US government funded pilot project that establishes a new complementary labor-based pathway for refugees to the United States. The SPO will work in partnership both internally and externally on matters related to pre and post arrival program functions, staffing structure, program design, client safeguarding, and overall program compliance. The incumbent will advise and guide national and international management to establish IRC’s standards of labor mobility program excellence. The Senior Program Officer reports to the Technical Advisor for Third Country Solutions. The duration of this project is estimated to end in May 2026.
