We are seeking a skilled and experienced Permanent Project Manager for Commercial-Industrial Federal Construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile, multimillion-dollar federal construction projects. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from initial planning and budgeting to execution and completion. You will lead a team of professionals and ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires a high level of expertise in project management, construction management, ground-up construction, and commercial construction.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including conception, design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
2. Develop and manage the project schedule, ensuring that all milestones are met on time and within budget.
3. Lead and coordinate a team of professionals, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
4. Ensure all work is completed according to federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
5. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality of work.
6. Manage project budget, including tracking expenditures and forecasting costs.
7. Resolve any issues or delays that may impact the project timeline or budget.
8. Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
9. Implement risk management processes and conduct regular risk assessments.
10. Foster a safe work environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in commercial-industrial federal construction.
3. Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex construction projects from start to finish.
4. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
7. Proficient in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
8. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
9. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
10. Ability to travel as needed for project oversight and meetings.
