Purpose: The Human Resource Administrator is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level while working closely with the HR Team in supporting IWG operations. This position will assist in the following areas: leave of absence such as FMLA, disability and worker’s compensation, onboarding, safety, benefits administration, HR projects and employment law compliance. This position will require 25% travel.; Camden and Canastota.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform standard responsibilities as a Human Resource Representative to include:
- Assists with the recruitment effort for hourly personnel, writes and places advertisements: and conducts new-employee orientation.
- Participate in HR projects (e.g. help organize and attend a job fair event)
- Develops and maintains relationships with outside vendors (ex. vending/uniforms).
- Assists and participates with the safety program.
- Participates in developing department goals and objectives.
- Performs benefits administration which includes conducting benefits meetings and communicating benefits information to employees.
- Track and follow-up on all leave of absence and worker compensation claims.
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of HR department in relation to established goals.
- Recommends new ideas to continually improve the efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of a 40-hour week.
- Any other duties that may be assigned.
Teamwork:
Daily communication with HR Director to ensure objectives are met.
Support and comply with company policies and procedures as applicable.
Demonstrate a positive and supportive attitude.
Qualifications and Skills
- The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree in human resources management or 3 or more years of HR experience. Will consider candidates with comparable education and experience
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills, Organizational Skills, Relationship Management/Customer Focused, Knowledge of HR practices
- Ability to manage time sensitive tasks
- Excellent computer skills
- Must be self-motivated and self-directed
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent work record, including safety, quality and attendance

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $21.00 per hour
