Off Highway Equipment Technicians

Interstate Power Systems is looking for experienced Off Highway Equipment Technicians to work on various pieces of equipment at our Lincoln Nebraska location.

Pay Range: Starting at $19.00-$35.00 per hour DOE

Job Duties

• Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of equipment such as haul trucks, track dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes and support equipment
• Diagnose, and adjust systems according to specifications
• Read and understand electrical, hydraulic and operating systems along with schematics and service manuals to efficiently execute repair
• Must have a good understanding of diesel equipment and ability to exchange engines, transmissions, and all ancillary componentry on the equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and services
• Welding skills to perform limited repairs a plus
• Critical to work safely and recognize and mitigate hazards
• Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion
• Meet requirements for certifications
• Administrative duties as related to position

Desired Skills and Qualities

• Heavy equipment and or diesel vocational technically trained
• Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them
• The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training
• Solid written and verbal communication skills

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Be able to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs
• Must have your own set of general tools
• Use computers for web-based training and work order system
• Must be physically able to lift
