Description

Overview: As aBusiness Development, Building Restoration & Estimator you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the restoration projects within the designated business unit. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of projects, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering strong client relationships. This position requires a combination of leadership, project management, and business development skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Plan, organize, and oversee restoration projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to development of internal technical practice systems and training of junior staff
  • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Expedite projects from inception through the investigation, specification, and construction stage.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress, address any issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Financial Management:

  • Develop project budgets and forecasts, and monitor financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Control project costs, optimize resource allocation, and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for new projects and participate in pricing negotiations with clients.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, transparency, and responsiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services or upselling to existing clients, thereby maximizing revenue opportunities.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise project teams, ensuring they have the necessary skills, resources, and support to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provide ongoing guidance, feedback, and performance evaluations to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and a positive work environment to enhance productivity and morale.

Business Development:

  • Identify potential business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the client base and increase market presence.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop promotional materials, participate in industry events, and engage with prospective clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making and business planning.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in project management, preferably in the construction or building restoration industry.
  • Strong understanding of building restoration techniques, materials, and processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Must have an eye for detail, thorough, and highly organized.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime as required by project demands.
  • Commitment to upholding safety standards and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
