Are you a seasoned financial leader with a passion for driving excellence in shared service functions? Interwell Health (IWH) is seeking a Director of Accounting to oversee critical finance operations, including Payroll, AP, Treasury, Billing, and Fixed Assets. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the Shared Services team, focusing on implementing solutions that drive process efficiencies and ensuring a strong control framework across all shared service functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background with experience in shared service functions, a demonstrated history of process improvements and strong leadership skills.
What you will do:
  • Shared Services Management: Development and maintenance of desktop procedures and controls for shared service functions. Direct and manage the workload of shared service accounting.
  • Compliance & Governance: Maintain and develop control framework for shared service functions, ensuring compliance with state and regulatory agencies.
  • Payroll Management: Manage and oversee all payroll procedures, ensuring timely employee payments and compliance with tax reporting and internal financial requirements. Develop strategies for continuous improvement, while keeping stakeholders informed of payroll laws and implementing necessary operational changes.
  • Accounts Payable: Manage and lead the accounts payable team, ensuring accurate and timely payments while overseeing daily functions such as invoice review and payment distribution. Develop and improve processes, while strategizing on efficiencies and technology solutions for future scalability.
  • Treasury: Oversee cash flow operations, including determining cash requirements, short-term investments, and cash concentration, while supervising treasury accounting. Establish short-term borrowing needs, recommend investment initiatives, and maintain a strong partnership with the parent company.
  • Billing: Manages billing and accounts receivable activities for Interwell Learning, practice consultation and care coordination services, ensuring timely distribution of invoices and collection of aged balances.
What you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and regulations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders and leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with focus on continuous improvement
  • Preferred: CPA certification and experience with SAP, NetSuite and/or Blackline
