Intrepid Powerboats manufacturers high quality semi-custom boats from 30’ – 51’. We are a 30 year stable company with extensive demand for boats within our iconic brand. We are looking for a Marine Electrician to join our TEAM at our Largo location. We offer competitive wages, great benefits, and growth opportunity along with steady year-round employment.

Specific Responsibilities:

Builds, assembles and/or repairs mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, wire harnesses, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment.

  • Informs appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
  • Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
  • Performs other duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to the following:

  • 1-3 years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics and mechanical pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
  • Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
  • Ability to climb in boats, to work beneath consoles and parts, and in close quarters performing analysis, installations, and repair work.
  • Must be highly safety conscious.
  • Reads and interprets drawings and work instructions.
  • Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field is required.

High school diploma or GED required.

  • Will exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push or pull on a seldom basis
  • Will lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis
  • May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
  • May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
  • The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance.
  • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects repetitively on a frequent basis
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee is exposed to various hot or cold weather conditions.
  • Must be able to focus on task on hand for an extended period of time
