We are looking for a Strategic Naval Programs Account Manager-REMOTE to join our team to support Intrepid Corporate. Under minimal supervision, the Strategic Naval Programs Account Manager will represent Intrepid to the Navy through a strategic level process of identifying, qualifying, and creating new business opportunities and captures within the Navy, Marine Corps, and Joint Service operations.
Your Day-to-day Work Will Include
  • Develop additional business opportunities that exist by leveraging the full range of Intrepid’s capabilities.
  • Developing, tracking, and executing a strategic-level Customer Engagement Plan, including regular, periodic meetings with strategically relevant influencers, decision-makers, and leaders.
  • Functioning as Intrepid’s primary Navy representative responsible for customer engagement and government relations related to customer matters, issues, and concerns.
  • Informing the annual strategic planning process by providing insights into Navy and Marine Corps trends, requirements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Assessing customer’s direction, trends, and strategic opportunities in the 1-3 year and 3-5-year time horizon providing results to strategic captures and campaigns, and internal business and technology leaders.
  • Demonstrating critical thinking, assessment, and analysis of published Navy, Marine, Joint Service, DoD, and Federal government plans and strategy documents reflecting mission and business priorities and requirements.
  • Developing solutions to capture new business.
  • Contributing to strategic planning by providing insights into changes in joint defense, intelligence, and federal government missions, acquisition, procurement, contracting approaches, and funding profiles.
  • Coordinating and attending meetings, as requested, with line management at the Operational and Business Unit levels to identify and shape strategic approaches to the customer.
  • Directing and leading new business capture operations which include, but are not limited to, developing opportunity leads, executing competitive assessments, and formulating and testing solutions before the release of the Draft and/or Final RFP.
  • Collaborating with technical and subject matter experts to translate technical information into proposal submissions.
  • Briefing capture statuses to senior management in scheduled business development meetings.
  • Driving capture actions to include, but not limited to capture strategies, potential teaming, key personnel, competitive intelligence, and technical solutions, as well as maintain proposal schedules, compliance, data calls, etc.
  • Managing communications and information updates for all opportunities in the Intrepid Customer Relationship Management system, Salesforce.
  • Providing your skills and expertise to relevant proposal efforts such as contract re-competes and new contract bids as needed.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
At a Minimum You Should Have
  • An active SECRET security clearance and the ability to maintain.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office toolset (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • A bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in a non-STEM field.
  • 10-15 years of relevant work experience.
  • A working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of each department or agency, including organizational design, acquisition and procurement, governance, and funding mechanisms.
  • Significant career government and/or industry credentials including prior account leadership experience.
  • A comprehensive understanding of current and evolving missions, operational concepts, policy, doctrine, acquisition, procurement, contracting, and funding.
You Will Be Highly Desirable If You Have
  • Proven ability to lead Capture efforts with a record of closing DoD Business.

Estimated Salary Range: $140,000 to $150,000
