Intrinsic Motivational Behavioral Services is looking for a part-time energetic, motivated Behavioral Specialist to join a winning team!

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Please be able to work some daytime hours for team meetings.

  • Observing and assessing individuals' behavior
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans to address behavioral issues
  • Supporting patients throughout the treatment process
  • Communicating with individuals, caregivers, and families to implement behavioral plans
  • Monitoring and recording treatment progress
  • Conducting assessments to determine individuals improvements
  • Provide crisis intervention
  • Participate in meetings and training
  • Offering information and support to the individuals, caregivers, and their families
  • Collaborating with other healthcare specialists and support organizations in psychology, or a related field
  • Assess individual's needs, situations, strengths, and support networks to determine their goals.
  • Respond to crises and mental health emergencies.
  • Develop and evaluate programs and services to ensure that basic individual needs are met
  • Be committed to creating a work environment that fosters pride, teamwork, and continuous learning and associate ability to meet patient needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

Being bilingual is a plus but not necessary

  • Master’s Degree in Mental Health Field - Licensing not required
  • Industry experience is a plus; but not required
  • Strong working knowledge of behavioral theory and applied behavior analysis
  • Experience and direct contact with individuals with special needs
  • Valid Driver License
  • Proof of Auto Insurance
  • First Aid and CPR (Company will train)
  • Expertise in developing and implementing effective behavioral interventions
  • Experience serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Updated knowledge of person-centered principles and human rights
  • Experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, having the ability to devise, implement, and monitor the individual's behavioral support plans
  • The ability to train caregivers in the implementation of behavioral support plans for the individual
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Ability to communicate orally and written effectively
  • Ability to use diplomacy and to resolve conflict
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, peers, community partners, and families
  • Knowledge of the laws and guidelines pertaining to adults with disabilities
