Intuit Mailchimp is a leading marketing platform for small businesses. We empower millions of customers around the world to build their brands and grow their companies with a suite of marketing automation, multichannel campaign, CRM, and analytics tools.

We’re looking for a Competitive Intelligence contractor to join our Product Marketing team. As the Competitive Intelligence Marketing Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping our competitive positioning and supporting our global Sales organization with strategic recommendations, and critical insights into competitive offerings. This role will report to Product Marketing and partner closely with Sales, Marketing and Product Management to acquire insights and translate findings into consumable and actionable resources. The ideal candidate has experience in market research and a strong ability to translate findings into actionable insights, and consumable resources.

  • Experience managing projects within an agile environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and stakeholder interviews in order to develop a deep understanding of market dynamics.
  • Support win/loss analysis review to understand why customers are and are not choosing Mailchimp and incorporate these insights into competitive intelligence reports.
  • Deliver concise, impactful intelligence reports and presentations to senior leadership and cross-functional partners, translating complex data into strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and implement a competitive intelligence distribution strategy which may include newsletters, internal communications, and other channels to ensure stakeholders are aware of and have access to your work.
  • Lead the creation of internal and external facing assets, such as competitive positioning documents, battlecards and training materials to empower the sales team to confidently address competitors strengths and weaknesses.
  • Apply competitive insights and deep product understanding to create and maintain marketing claims which will include defining the content strategy and partnering with our legal team to ensure accurate substation.
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand their needs, providing them with the necessary tools, information, and training to effectively compete in the market.
  • Define and lead the social proof strategy, creation and review process in partnership with Sales, Marketing and Legal in order to create data-backed claims aligned to business priorities.
  • Identify social proof opportunities ahead of a product launch to strengthen the positioning and messaging in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

  • BA/BS degree in business or marketing or relevant certifications in Product Marketing or Competitive Intelligence
  • Previous experience in a product marketing role with a focus on building and owning a Competitive Intelligence program

Location / Work Type / Term:

We would like this role to be hybrid (remote in office at least 2 days/week) in our NY or Atlanta office. Contract term is for July 2024 - July 31, 2025.
