We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, with a focus on hospice care and assisted living environments. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of resident rights, documentation review, and regulatory compliance, ensuring that our facility maintains the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the nursing staff and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident health needs and coordinate appropriate care plans.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure proper documentation of resident care and maintain accurate records for review.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their dignity is upheld at all times.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident outcomes.
- Stay updated on best practices in nursing, physiology, anatomy, and MDS systems.
Requirements
- Current nursing license with experience in hospice care or assisted living settings.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy as it relates to patient care.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Familiarity with documentation review processes and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions regarding patient care.

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
