About the Role  

Investcloud is looking for a dynamic Revenue Staff Accountant who will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recognition and reporting of revenue. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of revenue recognition processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

What does a great Revenue Staff Accountant do? 

Staff Accountant is highly organized and successfully works on multiple assignments simultaneously. The Staff Accountant displays a high degree of integrity and professionalism while working with financial documents. Effective with client billing and possesses a thorough understanding of revenue recognition rules while being committed to professional development.

How you will provide meaningful contributions: 

• Generate and distribute customer invoices (monthly, quarterly, annual, ad hoc) for multiple subsidiaries. 
• Work with Account Managers on all invoicing inquiries. 
• Utilize our Zone Billing system to create subscriptions for customer billings. 
• Review and Analyze customer contracts for billing details. 
• Monitor aging receivables and assist in collections. 
• Generate Month and Quarter-end revenue accruals. 
• Assist in internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Ensure all revenue accounting activities comply with established standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to management.
• Create Month-End Reconciliations and analyze reconciling items. 
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes. 
• Work closely with Sales, Operations, and other departments to gather necessary information and ensure accurate revenue reporting. 
• Work with other accounting teams to analyze new contracts and revenue recognition. 

Basic Qualifications for Consideration: 

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related field. 
• At least 1-2 years of accounting experience. 
• 2-4 years of experience in revenue accounting or related field. Experience with ASC 606 is highly desirable. 
• Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles. 
• Analytical attitude and ability to resolve accounting problems with multiple variables. 
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. 
• Ability to assist with projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; exhibit a sense of urgency in performing tasks. 
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to relate and clearly communicate with accounting team and other departments. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite. 

Preferred Skills / Experience  

• Experience with ERP systems is preferred; NetSuite is a plus. 
• CPA or pursuing CPA certification is a plus. 
• Public accounting experience is a plus.

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant’s geographic location. Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000
