My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Automation Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising marketing automation strategies to drive customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth.

This role will be instrumental in leveraging marketing automation tools, particularly Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), to streamline our marketing processes, enhance campaign effectiveness, and deliver personalised experiences to our target audience.

Role responsibilities:

  • Marketing Automation Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing automation strategies aligned with business objectives and target audience segments.
  • SFMC Implementation and Management: Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) to support various marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, lead nurturing, customer journeys, and dynamic content personalisation.
  • Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and monitor multi-channel marketing campaigns within SFMC, ensuring timely delivery, accurate targeting, and optimal performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align campaign objectives and messaging.
  • Help to manage and mentor the wider Marketing Automation team, giving your expertise on the platform.
  • Data Management and Segmentation: Oversee data integration, cleansing, and segmentation efforts within SFMC to maintain a clean and accurate customer database. Utilise data insights to drive segmentation strategies and deliver personalised marketing communications.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor key performance metrics and campaign analytics to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Provide regular reports and actionable insights to stakeholders, with a focus on continuous optimization and ROI maximization.
  • Automation Workflow Development: Design and build automated workflows, including drip campaigns, triggered emails, and customer journey maps, to nurture leads and drive engagement throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Sales, IT, and Analytics, to ensure seamless integration of marketing automation processes and alignment with broader business goals.

To be considered for the position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing automation, with a focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or other enterprise automation platforms.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing marketing automation platforms, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of SFMC features, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Audience Builder.
  • Preferably a proficiency in HTML/CSS and AMPscript for email template customisation and dynamic content personalisation.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, draw actionable insights, and optimise campaign performance.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification(s) preferred.
