Our client is seeking a Construction Superintendent to join their custom home building business.
About the Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly influence the success and mission of the organization. The ideal candidate will manage all onsite construction activities, including scheduling subcontractors and deliveries, overseeing quality control, maintaining quality checklists, and facilitating direct communication and meetings with homeowners. At our client's company, every project is a one-of-a-kind custom home, ensuring that no two projects are ever the same. The Superintendent will be an integral part of a collaborative team, working closely with the selection coordinator, project estimator, clients, and their representatives to deliver exceptional results. The organization is committed to high-quality construction and has established processes that consistently produce outstanding outcomes.
Responsibilities
-Keep a current and projected schedule that will be used by all parties including the homeowners.
-Schedule all subcontractors and supply deliveries for the project.
-Review all subcontractor work for quality, document the quality of the work through onsite management Responsible for all Job Site activities including meeting with the homeowner onsite for any construction-related questions.
-Meet with clients throughout the project to review items like:
-HVAC and plumbing placement, interior trim layouts, electrical options, etc.
-Review and approve all supplier/subcontractor invoices related to construction-related activities.
-Punch and warranty work
Qualifications
-Must have an ownership mindset, overall great communication, and relationship skills
-Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred but not mandatory
-3-5 years experience in the residential building industry
-Strong knowledge and experience in different types of construction material and techniques; different wood materials; HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing configuration and best practices.
-Experience or high level of comfort working with a closely held company and having daily interface with ownership
-Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite
