Title : Special Programs Coordinator
Job Status : F ull-time, non-exempt/hourly
Salary Range : $40,000 to $50,000 annually based on experience
Supervision By : Director of Special Programs
Overview :
‘Iolani Special Programs Office oversees Summer and After School Programs.
‘Iolani Summer Programs offer K-12 academic and enrichment classes for current
‘Iolani and visiting students (1,700 students). After School Programs provide a broad range of learning opportunities in STEM, athletics, performing and visual arts, as well as After School Care, in a safe environment to bridge the gap between the end of the school day and when students go home (400 students daily).
Job Summary :
‘Iolani School is seeking a program coordinator for our Special Programs/Summer Programs Office. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support and operations support to the Special Programs/Summer Programs Office.
Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Use Veracross and CampBrain student information system on a regular basis for faculty/course/student information and communication.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Coordinate special events, such as Summer New Family Welcome, Employee Orientation and Training (Summer and ASC).
  • Coordinate summer operations and logistics.
  • Assist with employee agreement preparation, timecard review, and DHS compliance.
  • Update enrollment and budget statistics and projections for all programs.
  • Assist with ASC as needed.
  • Other job responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Special Programs.
Minimum Qualifications :
  • Bachelor ’ s degree required, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Previous school employment experience.
  • Strong word processing skills with MS Word and/or Google Docs.
  • Adept in MS Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • A strong work ethic, team player, ability to adhere to the confidential nature of the work.
Physical Requirements :
  • Attendance is required 8 hours per day. Some After School Care duties, weekend, and after hour attendance required.
  • Extended sitting periods; full leg and arm mobility (walking, ability to access overhead shelves).
  • Ability to lift and carry 10-15 pounds.
  • Full range of head and neck movement.
  • Ability to see and hear with or without correction.
  • Due to work in close proximity to children, must pass fingerprinting and background clearance checks. TB clearance required.
