TEMP RESEARCH ASSOCIATE II - BIOCONJUGATION
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled research associate to join our bioconjugation team. Experience with antibody-based ligands is highly preferred. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and optimization of oligonucleotide conjugates to enable targeted delivery of nucleic acid therapeutics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, execute and optimize bioconjugation strategies for linking ASOs, siRNAs, or other oligonucleotides to antibodies, peptides and other ligands with a variety of bioconjugation chemistries.
• Purify conjugates utilizing common FPLC / HPLC methodologies.
• Characterize conjugates using a variety of analytical techniques, including chromatography, gel electrophoresis, DLS and mass spectrometry.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues in medicinal chemistry, cell biology, and drug discovery to advance project objectives related to targeted delivery.
• Data analysis, troubleshooting, and contributing to project planning and strategy discussions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field with 2 years of laboratory experience in bioconjugation.
• Hands-on experience generating and purifying antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) or similar targeted drug delivery systems. Oligonucleotide payloads are a plus.
• Proficiency with and mechanistic understanding of common bioconjugation chemistries including SPAAC and Maleimide.
• Proficiency in common analytical techniques including HPLC, FPLC, mass spectrometry, and SDS-PAGE.
• Strong understanding of protein structure and function.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing project needs in a fast-paced research environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to effectively interact with multidisciplinary teams.
