High school graduate
Business school training preferred; prior secretarial experience a plus
Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and other applicable programs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Proficient in oral and written usage of the English language

REPORTS TO: Building Principal, Assistant Principal SUPERVISES: n/a JOB GOALS: Act as the primary receptionist for the guidance office in order to enhance student learning, promote the overall efficiency of the school system, and maximize the educational opportunities available to each child. Performance Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls and forward/voicemail as needed. Manage walk-in traffic.
Organize new student information including:
Organize list of new students for next year
Develop new student log/spreadsheet
Develop PS Stored Selection of new students
Fall Registration – schedule appts of new students, input new student information
Assist with College/Post Graduate Information including:
Set up College Visit calendar
Maintain Scholarship Bulletin Board
Manage transcript budget – collect and follow-up on fees as needed
Send transcript requests
Cumulative Record Maintenance
Maintain test score cards
Cumulative file check-out
Filing
Key role in preparing National Merit Scholar Applications, Senior Honors Program, Graduation Program, and School Profile
Assist Teachers/Staff with requests for information – queries, class lists, etc.
End of the year wrap up including:
EYD report
Send final transcripts for seniors
Pull senior cumulative files and store in old records
Prepare records for microfiche
File in SEJH cumulative files for new 9th graders
File previous year senior transcripts in old records area.
General office maintenance including:
Manage service and repair of office machines
Order Supplies
Upkeep of guidance office forms
Maintenance and check out of guidance reference materials
Upkeep of guidance bulletin boards
Work with counselors and assist them in processing their written requests
Performs other clerical duties that may be requested by the counselors or the administration.
Other duties as assigned

Salary and calendar year to be established by the Board of Education.
