Summary Description

An injection molding manufacturer located in Lake Forest, IL is seeking full-time Forklift Drivers/Material Handlers for 2nd shift offering insurance, paid vacation, paid breaks, and paid holidays.

1st Shift (7am-3pm) $17.00 hr

2nd Shift (3pm-11pm) $17.25 hr

3rd Shift (11pm-7am) $17.50 hr

FULL-TIME MONDAY-FRIDAY WITH OPTIONAL OT ON WEEKENDS (Some weekends one day of overtime might be mandatory)

Responsibilities

• Operate the Forklift in a safe manner according to protocol.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Make sure that resin is continuously and properly supplied to the machines.
• Wrap palleted products and place them in the appropriate location.
• Transport items to their designated locations based on a production schedule.
• Document orders, materials, and any stock movements.
• Unload incoming vehicles putting stock in assigned locations if necessary.
• Load outgoing vehicles and ensure materials are secure when needed.
• Maintain equipment by performing all necessary tasks to ensure proper functionality of the vehicle.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of sit-down forklift experience
• Good verbal, written, and basic math skills
• Manufacturing experience is preferred but not necessary
• Able to work independently
• Good height and depth perception.
• Ability to lift heavy objects about 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in uncomfortable temperatures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good alertness to ensure the safety of the workspace.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Sit-down Forklift: 1 year (Required)
