This role will be based in our office in Scarborough, ON, on a hybrid work model (Tuesday and Wednesday in the office), and reports to the Senior Corporate Credit Manager. Summary A Credit Risk Analyst employs a diverse range of analytical methods to assess the risks involved in lending to consumers and to appraise business risks. This role is crucial in the financial industry, as it helps institutions make informed decisions about creditworthiness and risk management. By analyzing data and trends, these analysts play a key role in safeguarding the financial health of businesses and the economy. Responsibilities: · Manage daily credit reviews promptly by prioritizing external/internal needs. · Evaluate creditworthiness and assign credit limits and ratings based on risk. Seek next-level approval with credit recommendation as per dedication of authority. · Oversee daily orders on hold to determine whether to increase credit exposure or to hold future orders by conducting a rapid credit investigation. · Coordinate and guide Credit Administration to handle queries related to credit forms. · Analyze financial statements and various reports to make constructive credit decisions. · Collaborate with Credit Analysts, Sales, Customer Service, customers, and external sources to be efficient with credit reviews. · Communicate with external/internal on credit requirements and decisions as needed. · Compile the Trade, Bank reference, and Credit report and compare it with the NACM and Credit Review Form. · Prepare the Credit review form and Extract the accounts for the Senior Credit Risk Analyst. · Analyze and Evaluate financial data, Such as Balance sheets and income statements, to determine the level of default risk. · Manage daily credit reviews promptly by prioritizing external/internal needs. · Review and rate investments from the Credit report · Oversee daily orders on hold to determine whether to increase credit exposure or to hold future orders by conducting a rapid credit investigation. · Collaborate with Account Receivable Analysts, Sales, Customer Service, customers, and external sources to be efficient with credit reviews Requirements: - Background in accounting - CCP certification is highly advantageous - 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, reviewing financial statements and analyzing risk, including ratio calculations - Proficient in Excel, with familiarity in VLOOKUPs and pivot tables - Knowledgeable about Equifax and credit risk reports - Experienced in preparing the Z-score table and calculating ratios - Capability to strive in a fast-paced environment · Takes initiative and ownership of tasks · High attention to detail and ability to produce quality work within the deadline · Skilled to work independently and with a team Benefits We offer a unique opportunity to join a global company, with a very international & collaborative culture that is transforming dynamically and that is committed to its future growth, service excellence and employee engagement.
