Position Summary

We are looking for you–dynamic, best-in-class talent–to join the KINESSO team as a Social Strategist. In this role, you will work closely with Initiative team members to develop informed, smart and creative, social strategies for clients, provide a fresh, new perspective on the ever-changing social landscape, and engage directly with communities in social on behalf of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Active always-on channel content management for @jumpman23 social media handles. Currently inclusive of (but not limited to) 1 channel across 5 primary platforms.
  • Test and publish all social organic posts, with agility, operational excellence, and flawless execution
  • Assist in Jordan's organic creative review process and run of show, inputting entries into AirTable
  • Active social listening to identify real-time engagement opportunities for the Jordan brand surrounding planned moments with high brand affinity, including nationally broadcast NBA and WNBA games
  • Develop a deep understanding of client’s brand tone in order to embody the voice of the brand and build out client’s social media response bank
  • Provide guidance on social posting cadence by platform according to industry best practices and the client’s needs
  • Provide your own expertise and perspective on social media best practices and produce POVs for internal teams as well as clients
  • Provide inspiration and innovative uses for social media platforms to internal media and strategy teams to bring first to market opportunities to the client
  • Research and assessment of key new-to-market platforms, identifying the feasibility and use cases for client
  • Build quarterly Social Media Playbooks inclusive of industry trends, landscape updates and platform best practices including content, engagement, and audience insights to help inform local test and learn agendas
  • Active community engagement with Jordan athletes during key performance windows, supporting real-time and weekend publishing for key sport/campaign moments for the brand
  • Create qualitative reports focusing on audience observations and relevant social platform updates to drive insights for clients and agency partners
  • Manage project tracker, inclusive of metadata governance for creators/partners and consistency across all organic social posts
  • Manage usage calendar for rights expiring content and remove content from platforms when rights expire
  • Work with social platforms (e.g., Meta, X, TikTok etc.) to support thought leadership development and new tactics and identify new opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with organic clients, paid social, project management and analytics teams, internally and with client-specific partners, to complete client work efficiently
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, emerging platforms, audience behaviors and platform best practices
  • Collaborate with the social strategy team and associated IPG agencies on ad hoc projects to help drive new business opportunities for KINESSO

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 1-2 years of community management and social strategy experience
  • Experience in mining insights, building social strategies, planning editorial calendars, community management and social reporting preferred
  • Strong copy writing and communication skills
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for digital marketing with strong working knowledge of the social media landscape
  • Team player who is able to balance multiple work streams, collaborate effectively and communicate clearly
  • Confidence in executing tasks independently, working with remote team members, and interacting with peers and senior executives within KINESSO and at partner agencies
  • Deep knowledge and expertise across all social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat, Reddit, YouTube, etc.)
  • Experience with management tools (e.g., AirTable, Asana) and native publishing on social platforms preferred and CMS platforms (e.g., Sprinklr, HootSuite, SproutSocial) is an added bonus
  • Passion for sports/basketball and engrained in sports culture is preferred
  • KINESSO does not require candidates to have a college degree

The salary range for this position is posted below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
