CNC PROGRAMMER (5-axis)

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with expertise in 3-axis / 4-axis machining and an understanding of 5-axis machining to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Mastercam and SolidWorks, with a strong background in creating efficient and precise CNC programs. This role involves collaborating with our engineering and production teams to ensure the highest standards of manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities

• Use of MasterCam CAD/CAM program to program CNC parts
• Program 3, 4, & 5 axis vertical milling machines to perform various machine functions on moderately complex machined parts utilizing Mastercam Software.
• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks
• Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models
• Makes or offers suggestions on changes to improve manufacturability
• Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity
• Mentors motivated machinists with programming knowledge
• Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques
• Must understand various materials such as 300 series stainless and aerospace alloys for machining capability
• Experience machining Aluminum, Plastic, & Stainless Steel in a production setting
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 5 years of CNC programming experience using MasterCam software and SolidWorks

Preferred Skills And Experience

• 5 years of CNC programming experience using MasterCam software
• 5 years of experience using SolidWorks Software
• Ability to program in MasterCam
• Ability to create 3D models in SolidWorks
• Experience with programming and operating multi axis CNC mill machines
• Understanding and knowledge of 5-axis CNC mill machines

Additional Requirements

• Must be available Full-time on-site
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods
• Ability to work in an environment with repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting
