The Paul F. Doyon Memorial School is a PreK to 5 elementary school in Ipswich, Massachusetts. We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Paraeducator to develop and implement small-group programming for students in our math department. The individual selected for this position will work alongside our Math Specialist. In collaboration with educators, this individual will deliver instructional support to students both in the classroom and in our Mathematics Lab, a dedicated space for student intervention and teacher coaching. 1. Serves as a professional role model, with guidance from the math educator, through interactions with students, staff members, and parents; support of teaching practices; planning, and involvement in professional development activities. 2. Implements supplemental and supportive instructional strategies to selected students as designated by and under the supervision of the classroom teacher/math specialist. 3. Assists the math teacher in developing, organizing, and preparing instructional materials. 4. Provides one-to-one or small group math instruction and support to students as assigned. 5. Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment for all students. 6. Maintains an awareness of each students individuality and responds in a manner conveying dignity and respect. 7. Supervise students before and after school, as assigned. 8. Completes other duties as assigned by the math educator to promote the overall math program.
