IR’s Senior Product Manager’s act as the voice of the customer within IR.

They define, develop, and launch innovative new products, taking a strategic and future oriented view.

This role is focused on identifying new opportunities, evaluating them and putting together a strong business plan that will eventuate in a new growth product line. In addition, the strategy for the existing product lines needs to be adapted to ensure they maintain relevance for the future.

The Senior Product Manager acts as a leader within the team, sharing knowledge and coaching others.

The key responsibilities of the role include –

• Map out / segment the market and identify the different problems that can be reasonably solved by IR and customers are willing to pay for
• Be the domain expert on the assigned areas
• Create a shortlist of different business problems / market segments and get narrow this down to a proposed business plan.
• Lead the development of business cases to understand the relative returns of various products and features. Present business cases to manager and Executive Leadership as required where:
• Market problem, customer type and compelling reason to buy are clearly articulated
• Market size and revenue opportunity and cost model are well understood
• Product and technology are defined and validated
• Differentiation / market niche is identified
• Present and gain buy in on the strategy from Senior Management, the IR Board, external stakeholders, customers and others.
• Define goals and market requirements for the required product, with a strategic view on the wider impact of the assigned product portfolio
• Gather market intelligence customer contacts, revenue performance tracking, analyst interactions, win/loss analysis and other general market analysis
• The entire ecosystem including partners and influencers are identified
• Manage the execution of the agreed strategy in the company
• Be a thought leader in IR in relation to your product domain
• Meet with customers to evangelize products and gain customer insights for ongoing product improvement.

This role has the following set of specific High Value Payments (HVP) and US Market job requirements:

• Strong knowledge of the major HVP vendor application solutions (ACI, FIS, Finastra, Fiserv)
• Strong knowledge of the business operations function associated with HVP processing (correspondent banking, settlement, exception processing, fraud, AML, sanctions, liquidity, end of day, dispute management)
• Strong knowledge of the US RTGS network (Fedwire and CHIPS)
• Strong knowledge of the SWIFT International payments network
• Strong technical skills (On Premise and Cloud Deployment, Communications, Security, Databases)
• Strong awareness of customers using HVP solutions in the US market

Product portfolio (Collaborate, Transact or Platform) may influence additional job requirements in terms of knowledge and experience.

The base compensation range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000.
