Description
The Surgical Services Business Manager plans, manages, communicates, coordinates and evaluates business operations of the department. Maintains accountability for perioperative financial performance. Participates in organization-wide coordination of financial resources and integration of service line activities consistent with the corporate, division and departmental mission, goals, and values. The position will require data analytics, reporting, productivity management, budgeting, contract management, equipment acquisition, inventory control, scheduling, business development, position control, process improvement and strategic planning/growth.
Schedule: Basically days; hours may vary. Flexibility in schedule is required.
Requirements
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, or significant work toward completion; Master’s degree in Business preferred.
• RN preferred.
• OR experience required.
• At least 2 years of progressive business management experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of business and finance principles and methods.
• Demonstrates ability to deal tactfully with staff, physicians, service line directors, and other departments.
• Significant ability to coach, mentor, and manage staff.
