 Our Amazing restaurant family in search of a Hospitality Crusader: AKA Assistant Manager

The Iron Bridge Wine Co. is in search of a hospitality focused manager to help run one of the greatest workplaces on the planet. We need someone who can work as part of a management team that is always shooting for the stars and constantly striving to find the best way to get there. We are looking for a person with stamina and experience who is looking for a great work environment, where they can make money, be a part of an incredible family, and get more meaning from their job. We want to find someone who has the passion to learn new things and who is excited to share them with our staff and guests. You will need to be super organized and willing to go with the flow. You will be tasked with working alongside a dedicated family of restaurant professionals who make it their mission to make memorable moments for our guests..

Qualities That Are Important To Us:

  • Clicks with our team (this one is critical)
  • Someone who is a hospitality crusader
  • Detail oriented, especially in the face of constant chaos
  • Able to manage and execute multiple projects at the same time
  • Takes direction well and loves working in a supporting role, but can also coach and take lead when needed
  • Someone who is reliable and has a strong follow through. (If you tend to call out a lot do us a favor and start now)
  • The customer is not always right but they are always the customer. With that in mind you must possess superhuman guest skills and the ability to keep on smiling even when things have you feel pulled in multiple directions
  • Have lots of experience with MS Office / Google Docs / Google Drive. You know, basic computer shit. (Yeah, we have potty mouths, can’t deal with that? This is not the place for you) 
  • Experience with Opentable & Toast POS a huge plus
  • Someone who enjoys learning new tasks – quickly
  • Someone who is okay with change

Qualities That Are Important To Our Guests:

  • Greeting every guest with a warm welcome. Be polite, personable, and prepared to answer questions about the restaurant and the specials we are offering
  • Be a brand ambassador for The Bridge!
  • Come to work ready to work. Our guests do not care that we had a bad week, when you are at The Bridge you should be “stage ready”
  • Working as part of our family by bringing ideas to help make The Bridge better and better- who knew it was possible?

If there Was A Typical Day It Might go Something Like This:

  • Wake up, get out of bed, drag a comb across your head.
  • Manage the floor for lunch and/or dinner
  • Be the Captain of our amazing FOH training program
  • Cater to the whims of 30-40 employees while keeping everyone happy….let’s face it, that’s what writing the schedule is really all about. 
  • Print menus, change light bulbs, coach your team, carry boxes, run food, be compassionate, bus tables, take orders from guests, greet guests,(not necessarily in that order) answer the phone, exhibit patience, take reservations, fix a broken door knob, act as therapist, call the repair people, be the repair person, belly laugh, place orders, research wines and food, update menus, motivate your team, update our POS, and be ready to take on more as it comes
  • Then, most importantly at the end of the day, celebrate our victories.
  • This is just the tip of the iceberg. We are constantly coming up with new projects and ideas and no two days are ever the same. We will look to you to help with all of this, so that we can continue to be the best restaurant in Howard County and someday the world!

Qualities That Are Important To Our Staff:

  • A permanent, full time position. approximately 50 hrs a week
  • A Twelve-week initial “feeling each other out” period to make sure that it is a right fit for all
  • We offer two weeks PTO, company health insurance as well as free lunch & dinner every day.
