Job Summary

This position will work closely with clinical staff with patient care for those diagnosed with Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) and other reportable diseases. The DIS will also be involved in community-based outreach and education for those who are at risk or who have been diagnosed with HCV/other reportable diseases.


Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED plus a minimum of two years' experience in public health, social work, health education, and/or community organizing OR a college degree (Asociates/Bachelors/Masters) in health education, social work, nursing, or public health from an accredited college.
  • Experience: Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Valid driver's license and insurance at time of hire. Basic knowledge of local, state, and federal guidelines related to HCV, HIV, & Syphilis, and other reportable disease transmission and prevention preferred.
