Irving Knight Group is Hiring a Senior Financial Analyst - Homebuilding Near Colorado, CO

Title: Senior Financial Analyst- Homebuilding

Location: Colorado Springs (Hybrid Working: 3 days office, 2 days home)

Package: $90,000-$115,000 very lucrative profit share bonus (circa 50% of your annual base salary) Unlimited PTO 401K Investment with 6% company match

Responsibilities:

  • As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and operational efficiency within the organization.
  • You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, providing strategic insights, and partnering with cross-functional teams (Land, Sales, Purchasing, etc.) to optimize business processes.
  • The role reports directly in to the Director of Finance.
  • Cash Forecasting: Responsible for managing weekly cash forecasting and treasury functions.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analyses to assess performance and trends for future projections.
  • Operational Analysis: Utilize operational data to identify areas for improvement and enhance efficiency.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with department leaders to develop accurate financial projections and strategic plans.
  • Variance Analysis: Analyze discrepancies between actual and budgeted performance to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators to track progress towards goals.
  • Financial Modeling: Build models to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize financial and operational performance.
  • Reporting and Presentation: Prepare and present financial reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Lead and participate in special projects to support business objectives.
  • There is a clear path for progression for this role and we are looking for someone capable of stepping into a Manager role reasonably soon (and beyond that eventually)
  • You will drive projects and initiatives alongside Director of Finance

Requirements:

  • Must have experience in real estate accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting, ideally working for a single family homebuilder
  • Bachelor's Degree required in finance, accounting, or business
  • Superior Excel and financial management software skills
  • Experience in MarkSystems and MySQL preferred
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
