Job Title: Employee Wellbeing Specialist Department: Human Resources Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: The Employee Wellbeing Specialist enhances and manages wellness programs to improve the health and well-being of all district employees and students. This role incorporates significant human resources functions, such as recruitment, retention, and employee engagement, which are crucial for fostering a supportive and productive educational environment. Essential Functions: Wellness Program Management: - Develop and oversee comprehensive health and wellness programs across the district, including supporting and overseeing Wellbeing Champions. - Collaborate with external healthcare providers to extend health services to employees and students. - Analyze and report on the effectiveness and reach of wellness initiatives. - Employee Engagement and Support: - Implement programs that enhance employee satisfaction and workplace culture. - Coordinate events and activities that promote mental and physical health. - Recruitment and Retention: - Assist in the development and execution of strategies to attract and retain top talent. - Support onboarding processes to ensure a smooth integration of new employees into the district's culture. - Contribute to the creation of policies that ensure a diverse and inclusive workplace. - Professional Development: - Organize training sessions and workshops that contribute to professional growth and development. - Evaluate the needs of staff to tailor development programs effectively. - Monitor the impact of training programs on employee performance and satisfaction. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Human Resources, or a related field. Administrative certification is preferred. - Extensive experience in employee wellness, HR practices, or related fields, preferably within an educational or public sector environment. - Strong organizational and leadership skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating across departments. Physical Demands: - This position involves typical physical activities expected in a school district environment, which may include walking, standing, and occasional lifting of light materials. Reports to: Executive Director of Employee Relations Salary: Classified Exempt (Salary Range – 6EX) Budget Allocation: Grant Funded Terms of Employment: Twelve (12) month employee position contingent upon grant funds availability
