Responsibilities for Kitchen Manager

• Responsible for oversight of Production & tray line service.
• Conduct training on Dietary procedures and expectations
• Develop schedule for kitchen staff to ensure coverage and maximize operational efficiencies
• Coordinate with the Dietary Manager and the cooking staff on the menu offerings
• Establish relationships with vendors
• Place food and supply orders as necessary
• Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and meets all regulations
• Ensure the food is prepared to quality standards, in a timely manner

Qualifications for Kitchen Manager

• 5 years of experience working in LTC or other facility.
• Valid ServSafe certification
• Ability to effectively communicate with the kitchen staff
• Superior attention to detail
• Proficient with budgeting
• Skilled negotiator
• Available to work needed weekends, holidays, but no late nights.
