Responsibilities:

• Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical-Surgical unit, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitoring patient responses.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Educating patients and their families on health management and post-hospital care strategies.
• Documenting patient care accurately and timely using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities to enhance nursing practice.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Nebraska (or compact state license).
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Medical-Surgical unit.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize patient care effectively.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
