IT Concepts Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Senior Data Engineer in support of our Defense Intelligence client in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will bring experience in multiple technologies and methodologies. Relevant experience for this role may include any or all the following: database and database architecture design, database administration, and data governance. Responsibilities: We are looking for a flexible data engineer who has led the implementation of database/data warehouse solutions for the federal government and is comfortable with solutions using open source and multiple vendor technologies. We prefer candidates who are confident in their ability to tackle new technologies and stretch their competencies to areas of development that they may not have encountered before. A successful candidate will also: * Design, implement, and operate data management systems for intelligence needs * Design how data will be stored, accessed, used, integrated, and managed by different data regimes and digital systems * Work with data users to determine, create, and populate optimal data architectures, structures and systems * Plan, design, and optimize data throughput and query performance * Participate in the selection of backend database technologies (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, HPC, etc.), their configuration and utilization, and the optimization of the full data pipeline infrastructure to support the actual content, volume, ETL, and periodicity of data to support the intended kinds of queries and analysis to match expected responsiveness Requirements * Years of experience: 10 years of Data Engineering * Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics). * Experience designing, implementing, and managing SQL and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, Redis, Postgres, and MongoDB, and HPC systems working with large-scale data sets * Designing, implementing, and managing ETL processes * Managing data warehousing solutions * Exposing and deploying machine learning models to production systems * Ensuring data quality and consistency across various sources * Creating, maintaining, and leading projects involving data collection and storage systems * Experience working in the Intelligence Community and/or DoD developing data models for the military. * Excellent verbal and written communications skills (using the MS Office Suite of productivity tools: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) along with the ability to present technical data and approaches to both technical and non-technical audiences. Clearance Requirement: * Must have active TS/SCI clearance, and willing/able to get CI Polygraph
