Job Brief:The Tier-1 Technician is responsible for being the first point of contact for triaging reported issues and incidents by clients. The ideal candidate is a dedicated, relentless problem solver who applies logic and an instinctive approach to resolving technical issues. This person should enjoy learning new technologies on the fly while solving diverse technical challenges. The candidate should understand the value of best practices and have the foresight to thoroughly consider all potential outcomes before making impactful changes. The ability to manage the stress of client-down situations is an absolute must, and it is paramount to always provide excellent customer service.
Shift : Monday through Friday 8am-5pm CST
Work Designation: On-Site
Work Location: This position will be on-site in our St. Louis, MO office.
RequirementsResponsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Configure and troubleshoot issues with Windows OS
  • Configure business settings on smart phones
  • Configure and troubleshoot basic issues with desktop applications
  • Work with vendors to resolve basic client problems
  • Troubleshoot and configure printers
  • Configure and troubleshoot SaaS applications
  • Analyze and resolve system alerts
  • Analyze and resolve basic security incidents such as phishing, viruses, or blocked websites
  • Manage user accounts and active directory
  • Configure and troubleshoot Multi-Factor Authenticator apps and user settings
  • Solve client incidents and requests over the phone and via remote tools
  • Improve customer satisfaction
  • Keep clients up-to-date on the status of their incidents
  • Manage and ensure contact lists for all clients is accurate always
  • Accurately relay customer information to technicians through ticketing system, instant messaging and phone
  • Manage all incidents in our ticketing system
  • Quickly resolve client requests and incidents.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation
ExperienceRequired Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent level of experience in related field
  • A minimum of one year in a professional services position with strong communication and interpersonal skills amongst team members and customers or related experience in a professional environment.
  • 6 months of experience in a call center environment.
  • A minimum of one year using Microsoft 365 apps: Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Experience with Office 365 and Microsoft's Software/Applications.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members, customers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident and comfortable with client facing activity.
Preferred Skills:
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in a technical support position (including internship) working administratively in the Microsoft Windows desktop operating system (Mac desktop operating system experience would be a plus)
  • CompTIA A certification, Microsoft Windows certification, Apple macOS certification.
  • Experience working with and providing support utilizing Remote Management Tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and configure workstations and hardware such as: printers, laptops, etc.
