ITAC Solutions is working on a contract Remote Coverage Determination Technician for a Benefits company in Birmingham. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting their Prior Authorization Team, responsible for reviewing and determining PA requests. Your expertise will be pivotal in determining the approval or rejection of these requests, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in pharmaceutical services.

Compensation: $17-18/hr.
Contract Duration: Open-ended (minimum 3 months, could go longer)
Start Date: 7/15 or 7/22
Location: Remote, can live anywhere in Alabama.
Days/Hours: 8am to 5pm, M-F
What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

• The CDT team receives the PA requests for review and will determine whether it is approved or rejected
• Support Pharmacists who are determining Prior Authorizations based on specific criteria
• Communicate professionally with doctors, members, etc.
• Manage a large number of cases in the queue
• Perform accurate data entry of confidential information

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

• Proficiency in prior authorization processes, including accepting or rejecting PAs.
• Requirement of either a state pharmacy technician license or CPhT
• Pharmacy Tech from a hospital, retail, or a PBM call center space
• Data entry experience
• High-speed internet
