Job Description:
We are looking for a Power Systems Engineer with a strong background in electrical power equipment design, specifically in metal clad medium voltage (MV) or low voltage (LV) draw-out systems. This role is integral to our production and equipment manufacturing operations and requires practical, hands-on experience in the field and on the shop production floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical power equipment, focusing on metal clad MV or LV draw-out systems.
  • Work directly in production and equipment manufacturing environments, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Engage in system commissioning for protective relaying, synchronizer/load controls, RTACs, microgrids, and related technologies.
  • Travel to support the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of systems on-site.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of power systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Power Engineering.
  • Security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance is highly preferred but not required.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in electrical power equipment design and production.
  • Practical experience in a manufacturing or production floor environment is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of metal clad MV or LV draw-out systems.
  • Experience with system commissioning, particularly in protective relaying, synchronizer/load controls, RTACs, and microgrids.
  • Ability to travel extensively and adapt to various field conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in challenging environments.
