Description
Job Title: Loan Operating System Administrator I
Reports To: Consumer Loan Manager
Primary Function: The Loan Operating System Administrator (LOSA) is responsible for configuration, maintaining system stability, routine maintenance, managing updates, managing users, planning full system upgrades, planning system changes, and all other technical aspects of the three Loan Operations Systems (LOS) currently known as MeridianLink BETA, MeridianLink DEMO, and MeridianLink LIVE. Participate in technical research, development, and implementation. Ensure that LOS systems and related procedures adhere to organizational values. Assemble and lead project teams in the initiation, planning, and implementation phases for each technical update. Ensure continual innovation of the LOS systems by being the subject matter expert (SME) in relation to current and future system structure enhancements. Have a strong working knowledge of applicant decisioning, processing, and funding for both Direct and Indirect lending.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Support all production needs related to the LOS for Direct and Indirect lending.
  2. Create and maintain Boolean logic statements in all Loan Operating Systems and Excel based reports.
  3. Research and design LOS efficiency enhancements to continually improve system capabilities.
  4. Develop, maintain and manage change plans to ensure all three Loan Operating Systems (BETA, DEMO, and LIVE) remain in synchronous operation at all times.
  5. Manage change and maintenance needs in the Loan Operating Systems. This includes, but is not limited to, the three current systems (MeridianLink BETA, MeridianLink DEMO, MeridianLink LIVE).
  6. Assist IT with managing any new or existing SQL databases that interface with our LOS.
  7. Write custom reports that utilize CSV file extracts as needed.
  8. Work with stake holders to create and manage all needed reports.
    Ensure the LOS cross-sell products recommendations meet with current policy, procedure, and management expectations.
  9. Review and analyze loan applications to determine if they are being allocated to the correct system queues.
  10. Maintain proper documentation and prepare necessary notifications.
  11. Assist Management with training of new employees.
  12. Understand and describe the purpose of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti Money Laundering, and Office of Foreign Asset Control policy (OFAC). Identify the BSA Administrator and responsibilities. Complete annual BSA training. Know where to find the BSA policies, procedures, and forms.
  13. Responsible for processing member information and transactions consistent with BSA policy and procedures. Understand the regulatory requirements and the internal BSA/AML policies, procedures, and processes. Understand and describe; Suspicious Activity Report (SAR), Currency Transaction Report (CTR), Customer Due Diligence policy (CDD), and Office of Foreign Asset Control policy (OFAC). Complete and file appropriate forms in a timely manner; Suspicious Activity Report, Currency Transaction Report, Document CRM consistently as directed by operational procedures.
  14. Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  15. Perform diagnostic tests for problem resolution in relation to software or communications failures on all systems.
  16. Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide scalable solutions.
  17. Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all systems and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
    Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible vulnerabilities.
    Perform backup operations, ensuring all required system data is successfully backed up to the folders.
  18. Create, change, and disable system user accounts per request.
    Provide other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  19. Repair and recover from software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
  20. Apply LOS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
  21. Execute periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  22. Perform ongoing tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
Skills, Knowledge, and Ability
  • Basic knowledge boolean logic relationship statements and their utilization.
  • Knowledge of all features and benefits of the Credit Union's products and services.
  • Knowledge of organization's policies/procedures and Credit Union's service philosophy.
  • Knowledge of safety and security program for false alarms, robberies, bomb threats, extortion, identity theft, and fraud.
  • Knowledge and proficiency of Credit Union's computer systems (FSP, LOS, CRM, etc.)
  • Knowledge of state and federal consumer lending regulations.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to serve as backup to other loan representatives.

g) Provide the training department with assistance as needed in the training of new employees.

  6. Perform other duties as may be assigned by Consumer Loan Management.
Education and Experience
Job requires a two-year college level of language, math and reasoning skills and three years' experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Formal position training should be supplemented with continuing education. This is a non-exempt position.

Work creates moderate stress during certain periods during daily routine. Job does not have specific volume and pace of work standards except that the job requires that members be served in the timeliest manner possible. Job requires extensive member contact on a continual basis.
