Position SummaryThe IT Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and ready to provide top-notch support to our staff. The successful candidate will handle inventory and asset management, provide level one IT support, and assist with various IT-related tasks.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory and Asset Management:
- Maintain accurate records of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses
- Perform regular audits of IT inventory and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Setup and organize IT equipment to allow for easy access when needed
- Assist in the procurement and deployment of new IT equipment and software
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
- Assist in setting up and configuring computers, printers, and other peripheral devices
- Respond to IT support tickets in a timely and efficient manner
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary
- Assist in maintaining and updating documentation related to IT processes and procedures.
- Support the IT team in implementing new technologies and system upgrades
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices
- Assistance with the Microsoft Power Platform suite of products.
- Assistance with office set up and device configuration at each employee’s workstation
- Monday through Thursday 8am to 4pm, 60-minute unpaid lunch from 12pm-1pm
- Occasional Friday 8am-12pm at manager’s discretion. Notice will be given in advance to allow for planning.
- High school diploma required
- 1-3 years of experience in an IT support role or similar position
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems
- Basic understanding of networking principles and hardware
- CompTIA A preferred
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
