Description
Exciting opportunity to join a national home infusion company in the St. Louis area in a Clinical Liaison Registered Nurse position. This full-time hourly position offers a Monday through Friday Day-time schedule with a competitive compensation and benefits package. Some on-call rotation hours will be required.
The Clinical Infusion RN Liaison will be a front-line clinical contact, acting as a direct extension of IV Care Infusion Pharmacy. The RN Liaison will be responsible for providing specialized training and introductions to potential Infusion patients during patient's hospitalization to facilitate discharge and improve patient outcomes. The liaison instructs, motivates, and assists patients and caregivers in learning and improving the ability to independently administer infusion therapies in the home. The liaison will also perform some home visits and alternate setting visits and will provide technical infusion nursing and skilled interventions as ordered by the physician.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Identify Service needs for patients, caregivers, and referral sources. Demonstrates a working knowledge of the referral process, insurance coverage, necessary documentation, and therapies provided.
Intake home infusion orders from hospital and alternate sites, ensuring the collection of accurate and complete information.
Provide the training required for a seamless transition from hospital to home.
Effectively communicates with referral sources, physicians and family to coordinate the plan of care, acting as a liaison between the patient and other members of the Health Care Team
Collaborates with intake, customer service, and clinical team to help improve efficiency in processing new patient orders.
Communicates and explains procedures, pricing and product information as necessary.
Competency, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to administer infusion nursing care, instruct, motivate and assist patients.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to build relationships and communicate a strong professional image.
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a rapidly changing environment, be patient, accountable, proactive, take initiative and work effectively on a team.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the states of Missouri and Illinois
2 years of Home Infusion or Hospital experience preferred.
Current CPR Certification preferred.
Must have a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand, and sit for extended periods.
Must have the ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, or fingers.
Work environment may be stressful at times.
May be exposed to hazardous materials, bloodborne, airborne or other pathogens.
Must be able to access a patient residence, lift 45 pounds and assist in pulling a patient of approximately 130 lbs to a sitting position.
Must be able to travel with the use of a personal vehicle.

Pay: $76,306.00 - $81,762.00 per year
