IVY Engineering Group is Hiring a Community Liaison Near New York, NY
About the Role: We are actively seeking a skilled Construction Community Liaison (CCL) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with NYC DDC or other NYC agency projects. The CCL will report to and support the Resident Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Engagement: Serve as the primary link between the construction team and the community. Oversee communication strategies, organize community meetings, and address concerns promptly.
- Outreach Reporting: Document and report on specific outreach efforts related to construction activities at the site.
- Project Execution: Play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of the project while fostering positive community relations.
- Daily Collaboration: Work closely with the REI team, General Contractor (GC), and DDC in-house staff on a daily basis.
- Issue Mitigation: Manage and mitigate community-driven issues to keep the project moving forward.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of minutes for all Community Board (CB), Task Force/Stakeholder, and other meetings attended.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Construction Community Liaison on NYCDDC or other NYC agency projects.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent; BS degree preferred.
- Skills: Attention to detail, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Acrobat.
- Adaptability: Ability to work with diverse communities, handle conflict, and manage multiple tasks.
- License: Must have a valid New York State Driver’s License.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $52.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
