Course & Contracts Specialist

GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

This position provides coordination and comprehensive support in the management of the section building, supplemental pay request, and adjunct faculty contract team

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with deans and chairs to construct and maintain accurate records of courses and adjunct faculty contracts.
• Enter data into student Banner for sections, including but not limited to room and instructor assignments, consumable fees.
• Coordinate with facilities scheduler to assign classes to rooms.
• Generate adjunct instructor agreements.
• Process substitution, extra pays, and faculty loading sheets.
• Generate reports and distribute to stakeholders as needed. Maintain open lines of communication with other departments.
• Demonstrate customer service and student advocacy through approachability, adaptability, strong problem-solving and genuine desire to support student success.
• Engage in behaviors that reflect a commitment to diversity and create an inclusive environment where all people are valued and supported.
• Employ Critical thinking to achieve efficient, professional solutions to problems, questions, or issues for internal and external customers.

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associate degree from a regionally accredited higher education institution
• Experience with Banner or other student information system
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• The ability to move around freely in an office environment, reach into filing cabinets, and lift and move up to 30 pounds
