Job Title: Sales Associate

Company Info: J.C. Stanford & Son Inc. is an industrial/ commercial general contracting company that has worked across the state of Florida for over 20 years. We specialize in being a one stop shop for clients with expertise in concrete work, steel work, civil work and demolitions, carpentry, renovations, and many other things.

Job description: Assist a JCS salesmen with sales/project operations. These daily operations may look different with each day that passes during the week. One day we could be traveling to facilities to meet with clients and look at new work and to follow up on on-going projects. The next day may be in the office for the entire day working on quotes, material/ subcontractor pricing, email correspondence, and project planning.

Construction estimating and field experience would be preferred. This person needs to understand construction systems (carpentry, steel work, concrete, exc.) to assist with estimating jobs. Our company does not conform to one or two general areas of work, so being able to estimate different types of construction work will be required.

Tasks as a JCS Sales Associate:

- Coordinate with JCS salesmen to review new job scopes, quote letters, and client correspondence.

- Gather material and subcontractor pricing for new jobs that will be quoted.

- Emails, calls, and in-person meetings with clients for new jobs and on-going jobs/ projects.

- Providing clear scopes of work and quote letters for new jobs.

- Go to pre-bid meetings for public projects.

- Coordinate with JCS operations managers for on-going job statuses, materials needed, and job scope clarifications.

- Correspond with city officials for permitting for some jobs.

- Coordinate with architects/ engineers on providing drawings for some jobs.

Requirements as a JCS Sales Associate:

- Present yourself in a professional manner when meeting with clientele.

- Understand constructions systems. (Carpentry, Steel, Concrete, Exc.) To be able to efficiently and accurately provide job costs for various job scopes.

- Communicate with JCS Salesmen on job scopes, quote reviews, material/ subcontractor pricing.

- Use proper grammar and punctuation to communicate via, email and on quote letters.

- Professionally communicate with subcontractors, material supplies, architects, and engineers.

Additional Info: We are a family owned company that is looking to grow. There is a huge opportunity here in the near future to move up from being a sales associate to a head salesman with great pay and commission payouts.

Our office is located in Palatka, FL. That will be the main place to report for your job, BUT we have clients located from Jacksonville to Miami. You will sometimes have to drive out of town to assist clients and look at work, but you will be able to drive a company vehicle and gas is covered. A drivers license is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
