POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounts Payable Clerk supports the general operations of the Accounts Payable department under the direction of the Accounts Payable Supervisor and is responsible for managing the input of invoices into JDE and resolving any AP related issues in accordance with company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform day to day financial transactions, including coding, processing, and reconciling invoices
• Invoice reviewing for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Review of Travel & Entertainment reimbursement submissions to ensure compliance with Corporate Policy within the Wells Fargo system. Ensure appropriate receipts are attached and meet IRS requirements and ensure appropriate approval signatures are obtained.
• Prioritizing invoices according to payment terms. Scheduling, preparing payments, and resolving purchase order or payment discrepancies.
• Reconciling vendor statements, researching, and correcting discrepancies.
• Assist with month end closing and reporting.
• Prepare payment runs each week.
• Vendor set up and maintenance.
• Maintaining files and documentation thoroughly and accurately.
• Ensure prompt and courteous customer service for both internal and external vendors
• Assisting with other projects as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associate degree in accounting or equivalent from two-year college
• Three to five years of clerical accounting experience
