J&K Healthcare Services is Hiring an Aide personal care aide Near Mount Kisco, NY

J&K Healthcare Services has immediate Live-in, weekend, hourly day and night openings available for compassionate and dedicated HHA / PCA to join our team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of our patients by providing the appropriate in-home assistance and companionship.

At J&K Healthcare, we are committed to enhancing and ensuring the quality of life for each of our patients, treating them with consideration, respect, and recognition of their dignity and individuality.

As an HHA / PCA, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with their daily activities, personal care, medication reminders, and light housekeeping tasks.

You will work closely with our patients to help them maintain as much independence as possible while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with our patients and their families, offering emotional support and companionship during their recovery journey.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety
  • Administer medication reminders and assist with the management of medication schedules
  • Monitor and record vital signs, as well as any changes in a patient's condition
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as meal preparation and laundry
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to patients during their recovery process
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid HHA or PCA certification
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds if required
