Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for completing the final stages of concrete construction projects, ensuring a high-quality finish and adhering to safety standards. This role requires a strong background in construction, with experience in carpentry, concrete pumping, and power tool operation.

Duties:

- Apply a finish coat of concrete to the surface, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Work closely with the carpentry and tile laying teams to ensure a seamless transition between different elements of the project.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with construction plans and specifications.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to concrete pumping and finishing equipment.
- Collaborate with construction estimators to prepare detailed estimates for future projects.
- Read blueprints and technical documents to ensure accurate installation and finishing of concrete surfaces.
- Operate power tools, such as mixers and saws, to complete various aspects of the project.
- Perform frame carpentry tasks as needed to support concrete finishing operations.
- Lay tile and other hardscaping materials to complete the final stages of the project.
- Work safely and efficiently to meet project timelines and budgets.

Requirements:

- A strong background in construction and carpentry.
- Proficiency in concrete pumping and finishing techniques.
- Experience with power tools and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Familiarity with construction estimating software and processes.
- Strong knowledge of hardscaping materials and techniques.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to industry safety standards.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 7 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

• Columbia, SC: Relocate before starting work (Required)
