Job SummaryThe Graphic Production Technician role is responsible for the printing and cutting of graphic designs or lettering to be applied to various surfaces in the production of dimensional signs and fabrications. They use various graphics software to create and manipulate designs for assembly processing. They will operate wide format digital printers (roll to roll and flatbed) on a variety of substrates. Roles And Responsibilities
Wide format digital printing (roll to roll and flatbed) on a variety of substrates. (1 year minimum)
RIP Software and Color/Profile Management
Maintaining, troubleshooting and light maintenance of printers.
Understanding/Operating these programs: CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite
Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
Requires the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and write work procedures. Includes a basic understanding of engineering terminology. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma and trade school courses in blueprints
Requires 3 years of sign graphics production experience with exposure to a variety of production processes.
Preferred Skills
Proficient writing skills to translate technical instructions into understandable tasks/procedures. Good organization skills to maintain files/documents.
Basic Word and Excel. Previous work with database software preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organize workload for multiple projects, multi-task and work in a team environment, track inventory for the Graphic Department, and have excellent communication skills.
