The Regional Vice President of Hotel Operations plays a pivotal role in driving the company's success by overseeing multiple properties within a designated region. The Regional Vice President is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction of hotels within their assigned region. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational expertise to ensure that each property meets or exceeds company standards.
Duties/Responsibilities:
o Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue targets, profitability goals, and operational excellence across all properties.
o Provide guidance and direction to Area Managers, General Managers and hotel teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives and values.
o Collaborate with executive leadership to define regional goals and objectives that support overall company growth and expansion.
o Provide direction and guidance to Area Managers regarding tactical, day-to-day operations of multiple hotels, including but not limited to front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
o Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
o Ensure J&P best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control measures are in place to enhance guest experience and employee productivity.
o Conduct Operational Visit Checklists to ensure compliance with polices and procedures.
o Collaborate with key corporate leaders (COO, VP Business Intelligence, VP Revenue Optimization, etc.) to comply with and manage annual operating budgets for each property in the region, ensuring cost control, revenue optimization, and profit maximization.
o Analyze financial reports, forecasts, and market trends to make data-driven decisions and capitalize on revenue opportunities.
o Collaborate with the Revenue Management and Sales Teams to drive revenue generation strategies, including pricing strategies, sales initiatives, and revenue management tactics.
o In partnership with Human Resources Team members, recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams at all levels within the region.
o Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching and mentorship, and identify talent gaps for succession planning.
o Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability that recognition that enhances employee engagement and retention.
o Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences and adherence to brand standards across all properties.
o Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and guest satisfaction scores to address issues promptly and drive continuous improvement.
o Implement quality assurance programs, inspections, and audits to maintain high-quality standards in all aspects of hotel operations.
