Summary
Simplot Silica Sands is accepting applications for a Laborer for the safe operation in a mining environment. General Laborers work in various areas and perform a variety of jobs and tasks required to maintain smooth operation and to assist when specific needs arise.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to the following :
- General plant clean-up including shoveling, sweeping, and washing
- Operating heavy equipment including haul trucks, cat loaders, forklifts, skid steer
- Equipment maintenance
- Working around rotating machinery
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons, & nights) Ability to work required overtime.
Typical Education
GED or High School Equivalent
Relevant Experience
- 6 months experience in a laborer position
