Summary

The Rock Springs Maintenance Department has an immediate opening for a Certified Vibration Analyst, (entry level).

Key Responsibilities

• Report for work promptly everyday as scheduled.
• Respond to overtime and callout requirements as plant needs dictate.
• Perform occasional inspection related work as assigned by Maintenance & Inspection Supervisors. Work professionally with people within and outside of the department.
• Perform complex predictive maintenance activities to detect fundamental equipment problems or deficiencies.
• Provide detailed recommendations and corrective actions, document machine component issues to maintenance and operations personnel.
• Maintain vibration equipment, data collectors and database.
• Document and report equipment problems and corrective actions, help coordinate recommendations with all levels of supervision and management.
• Oversee plant Oil Analysis programs. Analyze results and collaborate with appropriate departments to address equipment deficiencies as needed.
• Provide plantwide rotating equipment condition summary and recommendations for outage planning.
  
  
  

Typical Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  
  
  

Relevant Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a full-time entry level ISO I Vibration Analyst.
• Experience with other PDM technologies (Oil Analysis, Thermography, U.T. etc.)
• Experience with Emerson software and 2140 Analyzers.
• Predictive / Preventative maintenance experience.
• Experience / knowledge in Process Safety Management (PSM).
  
  
  

Required Certifications

• Candidate must hold as a minimum certification as an ISO Category I (Entry Level Vibration Analysis)
• Level II Ultrasonic Testing Certification preferred.
• Level I Thermography Certification preferred.
  
  
  

Other Information

• Must be able to effectively and efficiently identify the multiple problems that can occur in rotating equipment (pumps, motors, turbines, compressors, fans, gearboxes, etc.) and determining the source of the predominate problem.
• Must be proficient with vibration analysis hardware and software systems. Must have valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Must be a team player with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously; work well with groups as well as working alone.
• Good written and oral communication skills; legible handwriting.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft office software programs.
• Proven record of safe work performance.
• Proven record of dependability and attendance.
• Must be physically capable of performing all required field work including but not limited to ascending / descending stairs, ladders, and working from elevated platforms and structures.
  
  
  

Starting pay grade will be determined by level of experience and certifications.

This is a day-shift position that periodically requires overtime on nights, weekends and holidays as required by business needs.
