We have been retained by our client, a growing Engineering Firm in Virginia Beach, VA, to find an Electrical Design Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing electrical systems for building design projects and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Duties:

• Develop electrical design plans, schematics, and layouts for building projects.
• Perform calculations for load, voltage drop, and short circuit analysis specific to building designs.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and project managers.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with building design specifications.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design for building projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and other relevant building codes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
