Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infectious Diseases Physician with expertise in managing bone and joint infections to join our dynamic team at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care to our diverse patient population through both inpatient and outpatient settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate within a thriving clinical environment and contribute to the advancement of infectious diseases management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized care for patients with bone and joint infections, including diagnosis, treatment, and management.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with infectious diseases, including history taking, physical examination, and ordering appropriate diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and patient-specific factors.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including orthopedic surgeons, microbiologists, radiologists, and other specialists, to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in infectious diseases consultations for complex cases and provide expert recommendations to healthcare providers.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about infectious diseases, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including research, academic presentations, and contributions to medical literature.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Infectious Diseases.
  • Fellowship training in Infectious Diseases, with a focus on bone and joint infections preferred.
  • Current medical licensure in the state of Florida or eligibility for licensure.
  • Proven experience in managing bone and joint infections in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Strong clinical acumen and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
